How do I make a mobile deposit in digital banking?
Mobile deposit is available for all checking accounts with primary account holders 18-years and older, but you must enroll first. Mobile deposits can only be made through the mobile app.
Steps to Deposit:
- Log into the Truity App
- From the Dashboard, select Deposit checks from the slideout menu in the mobile app OR select Deposit checks from your checking account details screen.
- Click Enroll Account, if you have not previously enrolled
- Once your request has been processed and approved, tap Deposit a Check
- Enter the check amount
- Tap Continue
- Select the account to apply the deposit
- Take a picture of the front of the check and tap Continue
- Take a picture of the back of the check and tap Continue
- Verify the information and tap Submit
Here are some tips on how to successfully deposit a check:
- Endorse the check. This means signing your name on the back of the check in the designated area. You should also write "Mobile Deposit Only" after your signature.
- Make sure the check is complete. The check should have the correct amount written in both numbers and words and the date and the payee's name.
- Take a clear picture of the check. If you are depositing the check using mobile deposit, you will need to take a clear picture of both the front and back of the check on a plain surface. Ensure the check is well-lit and all the information is legible.
- Deposit the check early in the day. This will help to ensure that the funds are available to you sooner.
- Keep the check until the funds are available. Once the funds are available, you can shred or destroy the check.
