Breaking Ground on Truity's Future Mercato Branch

Last month, we celebrated an exciting milestone in Lawrence, KS, as community partners, local leaders, Truity team members, and supporters gathered to break ground on our future Mercato Branch.

Located in the Mercato development near 6th Street and George Williams Way, the new standalone branch reflects our continued investment in Lawrence and our commitment to making banking more convenient for members in West Lawrence.

The groundbreaking brought together representatives from Keeley Construction, the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, KU Alumni, and several other organizations that have helped support the project's vision and the growth of the area. The groundbreaking served not only as the start of a new building project, but also as a reflection of the partnerships and connections Truity has built throughout Lawrence over the years.

"While construction begins today, the foundation of this project was built long ago through our dedication to serving members and our belief in the future of this city. This groundbreaking is simply the next step in that journey," said Truity CEO Aaron Beldner.

Following remarks from project leaders, attendees participated in the ceremonial turning of the dirt and had the opportunity to learn more about the vision for the future branch and the surrounding Mercato development.

Once complete, the Mercato Branch will provide a modern, welcoming space where members can access the products, services, and personalized guidance they need to achieve their financial goals. More than just a new building, the branch represents our ongoing commitment to serving the people, businesses, and organizations that make Lawrence such a great place to live and work.

We're grateful to our Board of Directors, project partners, employees, members, and supporters whose trust and support have helped make this project possible.

Construction is officially underway, and we're excited to watch the branch take shape over the coming months. We look forward to welcoming members through the doors of our newest Lawrence location and continuing to serve the area for years to come. The branch is currently slated to open in 2027.
