New! Text Fraud Alerts for Truity Visa Cards

  • 9/17/2019
At Truity Credit Union, we’re serious about protecting you from fraudulent activity on your accounts. That’s why we’ve strengthened our defenses with a new, automated system that can identify threats faster, notify you sooner and equip you with the tools you need to take immediate action against fraud.

The new system includes:

  • Immediate SMS/text alerts. You’ll receive a free automated text message on your mobile phone when suspicious activity has been detected on your account.
  • 2-way communication. You should act the second you receive an alert. Simply answer the question regarding your recent credit or debit card activity. Type Y for Yes; N for No.
  • Real-time support. Our live agents are ready to assist you any time to ensure you receive the best defense exactly when you need it.

For example, you may receive a text asking if you spent a certain amount at a certain merchant. If you did, reply Y for Yes to assure your card will be available for use. If you didn’t, reply N for No; your card will be blocked, and you’ll receive a phone number to call for more information.

If you don’t answer your text or if you don’t have the capability to receive texts, you may receive a phone call or email. Simply answer the prompts to protect your account. These text messages are free to you. If your contact information changes or you want to add a mobile number to your account, call or come in. 800.897.6991.
