Truity Supports Make A Wish Foundation
Springdale’s Make A Wish Foundation recently received a check for $1,815 from Truity Credit Union employees on December 17, just in time for the holidays. “We are so pleased to be able to support this worthy charity,” said Branch Manager Tricia Hill. “We were especially glad to meet wish kid Collin and his mother.”
Collin is from Springdale, AR. Earlier this year, his wish to meet his favorite race car driver came true! Collin’s trip to the Daytona International Speedway in Florida was the trip of a lifetime. Collin got to meet his idol, watch him race in the Coke Zero Firecracker 400 and tour the speedway garage! As an added bonus, the family enjoyed the amazing pool at the hotel, the beach and sightseeing around Daytona.
“Thanks to amazing supporters in our community like Truity Credit Union, Collin had the life-changing experience of a wish,” said Make A Wish Development Manager Esther Schroeder. Research shows that wishes help children build the emotional and physical strength they need to fight their critical illnesses. It provides wish kids an escape from their illness, while also making wonderful memories. Schroeder continued, “Time after time, we see that a wish replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. It gives children, like Collin, renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities.” Truity’s gift will help fulfill the wishes of other local children.
