7 Days Trip has expired
Highlights: Custer State Park, Chuck Wagon dinner, Crazy Horse Memorial, Deadwood, Mammoth Dig Site, Homestake Gold Mine, Badlands, National Park, Mount Rushmore
The history of this area will capture your imagination as you gaze at expansive prairie landscapes, roaming buffalo and big horn sheep and, of course, hillsides carved into presidential images. We’ll spend a day in Deadwood, marvel at the stark beauty of the Badlands with its unique buttes, plateaus and spires, and ride an authentic 1880 steam train on an historic trip through the Black Hills.
We’ll visit with a Lakota man in full regalia, and tour the largest mammoth dig in the world! The trip is even better since we’ll stay in just one lodge, the K Bar S Lodge nestled in the scenic Black Hills National Forest. No packing and unpacking, just relaxed mornings with glimpses of Mount Rushmore!
